The Executive Committee met in Lisbon, Portugal from 9th to 11th January 2009 to carry on the work in progress following last Executive meeting in Denmark, from 26th to 28th September 2008.

The meeting took place at the office of the Association of Trained Social Workers from Portugal.

All members from the Executive were present except Anthea Agius, who was unable to travel, but joined us trough web during the meeting.

The main task for this executive meeting was to plan and prepare for the next Delegates Meeting.

Legal Body
IFSW Europe is moving closer to becoming a registered legal body. The final stages of the process are now underway.

Project Seminars
The four seminars took place across Europe to discuss the IFSW Europe project on Standards in Social Work Practice meeting (Human) Social and Economic Rights.
The final report will be presented during Delegates Meeting and there will be also a Symposium on the theme during Dubrovnik Conference.

After hard working times, the Executive had dinner in a very nice Restaurant “Bacalhau de Molho-Casa de Linhares” and enjoyed some Fado performances.
