BERLIN SEMINAR


STANDARDS IN SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE MEETING (HUMAN) SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RIGHTS


The second Seminar on the IFSW Europe Project took place in BERLIN 24th, 25th October 2008 at the Psychiatric Clinical Hedwig Krankenhaus, GroBe Hamburger Str. 5-11, 10115 Berlin, with the following participants of these countries:

UK: IFSW Human Rights Commission Ruth Stark

The Germany Association of Social Workers hosted the seminar.

The workshop started on Friday 6.00pm and ended on Saturday 7.30 pm.

The animator of the session was Gabriele Stark Angermaier and had Ruth Stark as board reporter.


Veronique Barre was Chairing as Executive Member of IFSW Europe.

2.Discussion and sharing of Legislation and Regulatory Frameworks that support good standards of social work practice
3.Discussion on Conditions of Work in the various countries that support good standards of social work practice

i.Discussion and development of a draft framework for common standards
5.Focused discussion on key issues (each workshop should focus on ONE of the following through a short discussion)
i.Cross border; confidentiality and information sharing; education, training and professional development; service user perspectives

There was also time to visit the Place of the Venue and for some relaxation with all the participants, as you can see by the pictures that Graça André from Portugal shared with us.
